Vortex_A is an architectural practice by Giacinto Cerviere. His works focus on theoretical aspects of the great and micro utopias from architecture to engineering, until to the visionary potential of marginal areas and to the complex problems of urban systems. Cerviere graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Architecture of Naples 'Federico II'. In March 1999 he received his Ph.D. in Architectural Design, to conduct long historical-critical research on Antonio Sant'Elia. In 2002-04 he was a Postdoc researcher studying the historical relationship between architecture and the theoretical 20th c. avant-garde.

In 2009 Cerviere was selected for a special issue of Domus magazine of the new generation of Italian architects. In 2011 he was a contributor in the catalog of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. In September he has exhibited in Tokyo and Toronto in the exhibition 'Italy Now' at the UIA World Congress. In 2011-2012 he was invited to Festarch of Perugia, and in 2018 at Milano Arch Week. Cerviere has been an Adjunct Professor at several Southern Italy universities. In 2014 and 2018 he received the Italian Habilitation as Associate Professor in Architectural Design. Cerviere is editor of Cameracronica Magazine. In 2015 Cerviere founded the Oil Forest League, the first free school of design and environment, inspired by Spanish anarchist schools.
